Riccall’s first championship triumph since 1977-78 season was confirmed after a crushing 7-1 defeat of Dringhouses, ensuring that the Landing Lane club can no longer be caught by defending champions Old Malton St. Mary’s.
The triumph is a reward for long-serving player and secretary Liam Bradley, who has spent 17 years at the club chasing the title.
Ian Beckram, who scored his third hat-trick of the season in the win over Dringhouses, also looks likely to complete his first season at the club with the premier division’s golden boot after taking his league tally to 27 goals.
