Working on the top of water storage containers with no fall protection and access/egress ladders in place presented worker with a high risk of falling. When the tanks were originally installed 15 years ago no consideration was ever made about working on them safely.
The solution was to supply permanently fixed aluminium guardrails with toeboards and ladder systems to give 360 degrees of fall protection.
