Inspection and recertification
Getting your car inspected and having a valid MOT is a legal requirement that we undertake each year without a second thought.
When it comes to inspecting, maintaining, and certifying your access equipment there is also a legal obligation to ensure it stays safe to use.
Have you ever assessed your access equipment this way?
If the answer is no, then it is time for a change of thought.
Why choose Planet Platforms Inspection and Recertification Service?
If we have written to you, then it is most likely that we manufactured the access equipment that you are using. As the designers also, we have uniquely unrivalled knowledge about this valuable asset, something that other companies just cannot offer.
It is not just these points that stands Planet Platforms out when it comes to inspecting and certifying that your access equipment is safe to use. The scope of our ISO9001 Quality Management System has been broadened to include the inspection and recertification of access equipment. All these processes and procedures are audited annually by a third party, proving beyond doubt that we are benchmarked to the highest possible standards.
What are the key benefits to using the Planet Aftercare service?
First and foremost, it will ensure your compliance to the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998 and the Work at Height (WAH) 2005 regulations. You have a legal duty to make sure anyone using access equipment is competent to do so (training), that it is properly maintained (inspection) and that it is certified (recertification).
We will thoroughly inspect your access equipment, including the integrity of all welded and bonded joints, the structure, decking and handrails, and the stairs and castors that the system sits on.
Only when we are completely satisfied that it meets the very highest of safety standards will we issue an inspection tag and report.
Typically, we will come to your site once a year and carry out these examinations. Where needed, particularly when the equipment is used daily, we will recommend increasing the frequency of these visits, giving you the peace of mind that it is always safe to use.
