Manufacturing equipment that stands the test of time is an important factor to our customers. Ensuring the equipment is regularly maintained is a critical element of being able to stand by this commitment. When saying that it will last for at least 10 years, gives the reassurance that the investment made really is worthwhile.
Planet Platforms was approached by an operator recently who had acquired a set of AW139 stands (port, starboard, and tail) that we had manufactured 10 years ago back in 2012.
Originally supplied to an operation that flew out of Norwich Airport, when inspected it became apparent that in the intervening years this equipment had been well maintained and required very little work to bring it back into service. All that was needed was to replace some of the platform leading edge padding and replace the tail rotor flap.
